The BCRP and Sussex Police are pleased to announce that the successful vulnerability training sessions will be re-launched this April with a new look.

Over the past three years, Sussex Police, in partnership with the BCRP, has taken an innovative approach with their campaigns seeking to prevent rape and serious sexual offences occuring within the night time economy. Following our research, the campaign has foscused on exploring social responsibility and understanding what makes people make an intervention when faced with people presenting certain vulnerabilites or behaviours. The training has provided door staff, bar staff and managers alike with a toolkit to consider when dealing with vulnerable people to ensure their safety.

The BCRP have been working alongside colleagues from Sussex Police to revamp the training to reflect current trends and updated considerations. This will be a great opportuntiy for new staff but will also act a refresher with new messages for members who have previously undertaken the training.

The training is paramount and Sussex Police and BCRP request all members to ensure a representative attend.

The training is free of charge for BCRP members to attend and will be held on the following dates in Brighton:

Tuesday 17th April, 10am

Thursday 26th of April, 1pm

For more information on the training, or to book a space, please contact the BCRP scheme office on 01273 733393 or email kylie.wroe@bcrpbrighton.com.
