Scan Net is a UK-wide digital identification tool used by hundreds of clubs and pubs across the country. It scans statutory ID documentation [passports and photo driving licences] to check the identity of individuals trying to enter licensed premises and highlights any who have a known history of anti-social or criminal behaviour. BCRP staff visit the city's clubs and pubs regularly to update the Scan Net machines with the details of individuals who have been excluded locally ensuring that they are denied entry to our members' venues.
Entry will be denied by any venue that has Scan Net and, in addition, door supervisors will use their BCRP radio handsets to circulate a description of individuals who have been turned away thus forewarning other venues of their possible arrival.
