Galvanise Brighton - get involved
A new community led project has just launched in Brighton with the aim of putting an end to rough sleeping in the city.
The project, entitled Galvanise Brighton, is part of the European Campaign to End Street Homelessness which is currently operating in 10 European cities. The Brighton part of the campaign is supported by YMCA Downslink Group, YMCA Brighton, St Mungo's, The Passage, Fulfilling lives and Brighton & Hove City Council.
Galvanise is a community led project which aims to get the community to work together to end rough sleeping in the local area. In the short term, the goal is to improve access to local support services and enable resources to be targeted where they are needed most.
The campaign's longer term goal sits alongside Brighton and Hove City Councils Rough Sleeper Strategy which aims for no one to need to sleep rough by 2020.
