#BeSafeBeSound campaign
Counter Terrorism Police are working alongside the UK's biggest music festivals and love music venues to ensure that the public remain safe and play a part in the wider security operation.
The objectives of the #BeSafeBeSound campaign are:
Enable music festivals and venues to help keep their customers safe
Empower music fans with safety advice via online and offline methods, including, social media, websites, digital screens, mobile apps, and posters
Educate and encourage fans to report behaviour that is out of place and not quite right, by reporting immediately to security staff. Reassure music fans that they are safe and security checks are in place to ensure that they have a safe experience.
What part can you play?
Be aware you may be the initial contact for music goers reporting concerns
If you receive information from other staff or visitors, make sure you pass this information to your security control room, manager, or a police officer
If something concerns you or doesn't seem right, make sure you tell your manager, control room or police team
Thank anyone reporting concerns and assure them that their report will be taken seriously
