Local man to stand trial again for Babes in the Wood murders

Russell Bishop is to stand trial for a second time for the murder of the 9 year olds Nicola Fellowes and Karen Haddaway over thirty years ago. The two girls were found murdered in Wild Park in October 1986 a day after disappearing from their homes in nearby Moulsecoomb.

Bishop was originally tried for the murders in 1986 but was acquitted and subsequently joined in efforts to find the perpetrator. He will stand trial on 15 October and he has entered a plea of not guilty.
