Beware a scammer knocking on your door

Sussex Police are warning residents in Hove about a fraudster who has been knocking on doors in Walsingham Road claiming to have lost his phone and wallet and needing to 'borrow' £10 to get home. As collateral for the loan he offers to leave a passport, which is fake, and a gives a phone number that doesn't work.

He is described as a white male between 1.75m and 1.85m in height of medium build, with thinning hair, stubbly beard, striking eyes and dark eye lashes, and wearing jeans and a hooded top.
