Sussex Police warn of attempted abductions near schools

An alert was sent to parents at West Hove Infant School and Hove Juniors in Portland Road about a man allegedly attempting to grab the child in School Road and a second alert was sent to parents from Blatchington Mill School secondary school about a separate incident yesterday morning.

Parents were warned that the suspect is believed to be a man in his 40s who attempted to abduct a child on a bike. He was 1.68m tall and was wearing navy chinos and a navy jacket with a grey baseball cap.

At Blatchington Mill School a student was grabbed by their bag whilst cycling to school.
