Early morning brawl in Revolution

A customer was struck over the head with a glass of beer on the dance floor of Revolution nightclub in West Street in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police were called to the club but the man alleged to have initiated the attack fled the scene before they arrived. A variety of individuals are alleged to have become involved as the brawl progressed.

Officers confirmed that one man suffered a cut to his head and had to be taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital for treatment.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “We are investigating a report of a man being assaulted with a glass at the Revolution Brighton bar in West Street, Brighton, at about 00:50 on Saturday, 11 January.”

Witnesses are asked to call 101 and quote incident reference 66 - 11/01.
