Teenager stabbed in Brighton

A young man was approached by three people who took his phone at approximately 01.30 this morning in Church Street in central Brighton.

The 18-year-old suffered a stab injury to the chest. He made his way to the Clock Tower where a member of the public called for an ambulance. His injuries are thought to be serious but not life-threatening.

Two men, aged 33 and 38, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and wounding with intent. A 39-year-old woman has also been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses to the assault. Anyone with information is urged to report online or call 101, quoting 90 of 26/03.
