Bradley Garrett back in court

After his conviction for an unprovoked bottle attack on a Korean student three years ago Garrett has been back in court for being in possession of two knives at a pub.

The student  - Yehsung Kim – was left needing £2,000 worth of dental bills after the attack in Brighton which was recorded on a mobile phone by one of Garrett’s friends. The video footage of the incident went viral. Garrett, who was 15 at the time of the attack, was given a suspended sentence.

Then in 2020 he was sent into youth detention for 18 months for being drunk and disorderly and activating the suspended sentence for the attack. In addition he had only completed six hours out of 160 hours of unpaid work he was ordered to complete as part of his sentencing. Last summer Barrett was back in court for assaulting his mother after his prison release, and was jailed for a further eight weeks.

In March of this year he was back in court again where he admitted possessing two blades –seven-inches and eight-inches  - at the Red Lion pub in Handcross.
