Sex pest imprisoned

Abdullah Rahman was sentenced to a total of 18 weeks imprisonment after admitting two offences of sexual assault by touching and one offence of indecent exposure.

The first incident happened in London Road shortly before midday on March 15, and the other one in nearby Trafalgar Road a few minutes later on the same day.

In each case Rahman - who is 36 years old, unemployed and of no fixed address - approached the women and sexually assaulted them before walking off. In the first case he also exposed himself to the victim

As the first victim was talking to police officers a passer-by realised what was happening and started to search the area when he spotted Rahman nearby in the process of talking to two other women who were not known to him. He was immediately arrested.
