Cars targeted in Hove
A climate activist group called the Tyre Extinguishers has deflated the tyres of SUV cars in Woodland Drive in Hove as a protest against the contribution of large cars in urban areas to climate change.
In addition the Dyke Road area in Hove was also targeted last night.
The groups modus operandi seems to be to deflate at least one tyre on each car and to leave a leaflet behind the windscreen wipers explaining their actions. It is unclear how many cars were affected although it is thought that up to 300 cars have been affected in recent weeks.
Tyre Extinguishers are thought to be a splinter group of Extinction Rebellion and first started their tyre deflating activities on the weekend of 07 March.
