Knifepoint robbery in Brighton

A thief has been arrested following a knifepoint robbery in Eastern Road close to the Royal Sussex County Hospital.

Police responded to a report of the robbery at around 00.40 on 02 August.

A pedestrian was approached by the man who ordered him to hand over his phone and wallet. He handed them to the man and then contacted Sussex Police.

A 21-year-old man was been arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of an offensive weapon. He is remanded in custody.
