Man robbed on seafront on Christmas Day

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses to a robbery on the upper promenade on Kings Road opposite the Metropole Hotel on Christmas Day.

A Brighton resident in his 30s, was walking home when the robbery took place between 22:00 and 22:30. 

He sustained significant head and facial injuries that required hospital treatment, and had his mobile phone and some cash stolen. 

Three people are suspected of carrying out the robbery. The first is a white man, aged 35 - 45, around 6 foot tall and of medium build. He was unshaven with dark hair. He was wearing dark 'winter' clothing and was described as having an eastern European accent. 

The second suspect is described as a white man, aged 35 - 45, more than 6 foot tall and of stocky build.   

The third suspect is a white woman, about 5'6" and with shoulder-length dark hair.
