Commercial cannabis site in Hove

Police discovered a commercial scale cannabis farm in a house in Albany Villas in Hove on 07 June after being tipped off about the theft of a mobile phone from a vehicle close to the house.

Three hundred and fifty plants were discovered growing across 11 rooms in the house. The power for the large scale lighting and ventilation for the plants was being stolen by bypassing the electricity meter.

Two men aged 25 and 23 were arrested on suspicion of cannabis cultivation and abstraction of electricity. One was also found to be in the country illegally.
