Brighton BCRP Represented at National Retail Crime Meeting

Brighton Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP) is proud to be represented at a national meeting in London today, focused on tackling the growing challenge of retail crime across the UK.

Lisa Perretta, Strategic Lead and Manager of BCRP, is attending alongside key national stakeholders including the Home Office, Police and Crime Commissioner Katy Bourne, Policing Minister Sarah Jones, and major retailers such as Sainsbury’s and Tesco.

With retail crime continuing to rise nationally, there is increasing recognition of the need for a stronger, more coordinated response. This meeting brings together policymakers, policing leads, and industry representatives to shape the national approach and explore how partnerships can work more effectively together to prevent and respond to crime.

For Brighton, this is an important opportunity to ensure that the voice of local partnerships is heard at a strategic level.

BCRP works closely with businesses, Sussex Police, and partners across the city to address retail crime through intelligence sharing, prevention initiatives, and coordinated responses. Bringing this frontline experience into national discussions helps to ensure that policy is informed by real-world challenges and practical solutions.

Lisa’s attendance highlights the important role that Business Crime Reduction Partnerships play in bridging the gap between local experience and national strategy.

As conversations continue at a national level, BCRP remains committed to supporting businesses, strengthening collaboration, and contributing to meaningful change in how retail crime is addressed.
