Would-be burglar caught with lockpick set

A 39 year old Brighton man was stopped twice while roaming the city equipped with tools to break-in to properties.

Jakub Krzemincki went equipped for theft at Brighton Marina and at Brighton railway station.

He was found in possession of wire cutters and a lock pick the first time he was stopped and bolt croppers, a multi-tool and pliers on the second.

He appeared before Brighton Magistrates’ Court last month where he admitted possessing articles for use in or during the course of, or in connection with, theft.

It was also revealed how Krzemincki stole an electric toothbrush from Boots in North Street in October last year. He was ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work for the three offences and pay a £95 surcharge and £55 costs.
