Partners Unite to Support Young People on London Road
Yesterday, partners from across the city came together as part of the Brighton Crime Reduction Partnership’s (BCRP) Early Intervention Plan, a proactive initiative designed to safeguard young people before serious harm occurs.
With the support of Sussex Police, the Trust for Developing Communities, Brighton & Hove Buses, and local businesses, the London Road community joined forces to take meaningful action.
The day focused on:
🔹 Tackling the underlying causes of harm
🔹 Strengthening local partnerships
🔹 Showcasing how BCRP works with schools to identify and support young people at the earliest stage
A special thank you goes to Dorothy Stringer, Blatchington Mill, and Longhill High School, three of the ten schools involved in the Early Intervention Plan, for taking part and demonstrating their continued commitment to safeguarding and supporting young people in Brighton.
Adding a creative and positive touch, the Trust for Developing Communities hosted a community-led game that encouraged young people to engage with their surroundings and win vouchers for a local dessert shop, helping them feel connected, valued, and part of their community.
Together, we’re building a stronger, safer Brighton; where partnership, prevention, and care come first.
