BCRP Field Officer Nick Receives High Sheriff Award
We are incredibly proud to share some fantastic news from this week.
Our BCRP Field Officer, Nick, has been awarded a prestigious High Sheriff Award at Guildford Crown Court in recognition of his outstanding contribution to a major burglary case impacting businesses across our network.
Nick was commended for his work supporting a case involving a prolific offender who was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment after being found guilty of four business burglaries, totalling nearly £100,000.
Drawing on his in-depth knowledge of local offenders and his understanding of the wider contextual picture across Brighton & Hove’s business community, Nick was able to help identify the individual through our partnership with Brighton & Hove Police. His intelligence and insight played a crucial role in supporting the investigation and prosecution.
His actions were formally commended by the Judge, a testament not only to the strength of the case, but to the power of trusted local partnerships.
The award was presented by the High Sheriff of Surrey, with Her Honour Judge Lees (Honorary Recorder of Guildford Crown Court) also in attendance, alongside other award recipients connected to cases heard at the court.
Nick is out five days a week, working tirelessly to support nearly 600 businesses and partners across our network. It’s this daily, often unseen work that makes the difference, helping businesses feel supported, connected and protected.
